Pagi Sore: A Legendary Padang Restaurant Since 1973 — One of the best Padang restaurants in Indonesia no doubt is Pagi Sore. The place itself gives off a modern, welcoming atmosphere. It feels like you’ve been welcomed back to an Indonesian grandmother’s place for a hearty meal after a long day. Which, is not too far off as the food itself is very hearty and heartwarming.
Once you get seated, they’ll arrange an array of traditional Padang food on small plates stacked together. No waiting is needed, you can just dig right in and order some iced tea. If you’d like the second plate of something, just call the server and they’ll gladly bring more to you.
Among the food served, our favourite must be their Rendang Daging, Ayam Pop, Paru Sapi, Perkedel and Sayur Nangka. Their rendang is quite distinguished compared to other rendangs that we’ve tried before. The beef itself is chewy and tears apart rather easily, the sauce has a kick to it but is not too spicy that you couldn’t taste anything. If you’d like to kick it up the notch with the spiciness, they have homemade sambal that you can add too!
The Ayam Pop is not dry at all, it’s juicy with the right amounts of spices on it. The Paru Sapi is crispy, despite having most food sitting out in the open for some time, none of the food turns bland or tough.
If you are a big eater or bringing a group of friends out for food, then Pagi Sore is the perfect place to go. They serve faster than a fast-food restaurant with staff that is friendly and ready to attend to your needs. The place is also clean, despite how crowded the place it can get and you can easily get a table in just a few minutes waiting time.
Overall, Pagi Sore offers delicious food with a warm atmosphere. You’ll be guaranteed a fulfilling meal at a reasonable price after your visit here. They’re open for reservations and catering too, just reach out to this contact below for more details:
