Some tips when you golfing in Indonesia:
- You need to be aware that it’s hot here. Prepare your favourite sunscreen, cap to cover up, and bring an umbrella could be an option too.
- Ice water and a cold towel are always a good idea to help beat the heat and humidity as you play the round for 4–5 hours. A lot of drink and water is great to prevent heat stroke and dehydration.
- Bring an insect repellent since it could be a lot of mosquitoes.
- Check the forecast, especially during the rainy season (October–April)
- Some courses are walking courses; some are cart courses. People who cannot handle walking distances in the tropical heat and high humidity should use the cart courses.
Take note that it is common to tip the caddy around IDR 200,000 – 300,000 after your last hole. You can request your favourite caddy next time you book, as they can greatly improve your game! Phone ahead for Tee-Time reservations is advisable since it could be packed during the weekend. And prices can be significantly higher on weekends and national holidays: check the websites or phone for updated rates.
