About Lovina

Lovina is the name of an inn owned by Anak Agung Panji Tisna, which has existed since 1953. When the capital of Bali was moved from Singaraja city to Denpasar.

The name ‘Lovina’ comes from the English word ‘love’ which means love and ‘ina’ which means ‘mother’ in Balinese. Combined with Lovina, it means maternal love.

Today the Lovina is used for a stretch of seven traditional villages. All these small villages are easily joined by a 10-kilometer highway that hugs the north coast west of Singaraja. Lovina is a coastal area on the northwestern side of the island of Bali, Indonesia

How to Get to Lovina Beach?

Lovina Beach is officially located in Kalibugbug and lies in the Buleleng. To reach here it takes about two hours to three hours to drive from Kuta, Seminyak, or Ubud.

The Bedugul route passes through tourist sites, Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, and Giggit Waterfall. These attractions are on the main road to the Beach, so you can visit them on your way.

If you take Gilimanuk port, it takes a 1-hour drive. Any way you take to the beach gives you amazing traditional Balinese scenery. You know you have arrived when you already see the dolphin statue and beautiful ocean views.

Lovina Beach Entrance Ticket

There is no entrance fee in the Lovina area it is free. However, if you want to enjoy the facilities around the beach such as renting a boat, dolphin watching, diving, or staying overnight, a separate fee will be charged.

If you bring a private vehicle, a parking fee will be charged. For car parking, it costs around IDR 5,000, while for motorbikes it is IDR 2,000.

Lovina Beach Opening Hours

Apart from being free, Lovina Bali also has no operating hours. That means, there are no limits on opening hours and closing hours so you can be free to visit at any time.

However, if you want to see dolphin watching tours at Lovina Beach Bali, then come early morning. Usually, the time when the dolphin comes to the surface is around 05.30 – 06.00 in the morning.
