Bali Ranked as the Leading Destination for Retirees in Asia

For years, youthful tourists and free-spirited hippies have been drawn to Bali. Today, however, the Island of Gods offers many tourism experiences, catering to everyone from newlyweds to young families to retirees. Bali truly is a little heaven on earth.

Bali is recognised as Asia’s fourth-best retirement location in research by the travel consulting company International Living. The company gathered data for the 2022 global pension index using ten scoring parameters, and their conclusions were just disclosed.

Housing expenses, visa availability, entertainment, health care, infrastructure, climatic conditions, government, perks & discounts, and weather were all considered for determining the score. Based on these elements, Bali was named the fourth-best retirement destination in Asia. The Island of the Gods received a score of 69.

Thailand took the top spot, although not by a wide margin compared to Bali. Thailand received 72.9 out of 100. Malaysia came in third with a score of 72, followed in that order by Cambodia, which scored 72.3. As the top retirement destinations in Asia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam placed in a respectable fifth and sixth, respectively.

So what makes Bali the perfect second home for retirees?

Quite a lot! Bali is a highly family-friendly location; families are at the core of most of Bali’s tourist industry. Families are a major consideration in the construction of many of the island’s top hotels and lodging facilities.
