The Indian airline, Vistara, has revealed its plans for daily non-stop flights connecting New Delhi and Denpasar, Bali. The inauguration of these flights is scheduled for 1st December 2023.
As per a report from The Times of India, Vistara is a collaborative effort between the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines. Vistara will operate Airbus A321LR aircraft to facilitate this route to Bali.
A prior report from Kompas.com, dated 7th August 2023, had already confirmed that Indigo had launched its inaugural flights to Indonesia, with a round-trip service from Mumbai to Jakarta commencing in early August 2023.
Vistara has also disclosed the pricing details for round-trip flights from New Delhi to Denpasar. Economy class tickets will begin at approximately 40,000 rupees, which is equivalent to roughly IDR 7.6 million (with an exchange rate of 1 rupee equal to IDR 190). For premium economy tickets, the cost will be around 55,000 rupees or approximately IDR 10.4 million, while business class tickets will be priced at 130,000 rupees or roughly IDR 24.8 million.
The airline has stated, “Flight reservations will be progressively accessible through all booking platforms, including the Vistara website, mobile app, and authorised travel agencies,” as reported by kompas.com.
The New Delhi to Denpasar flight, designated as flight number UK-145, will depart at 12:30 and reach its destination at 11:05.
The return flight will take off at 12:10 and touch down in New Delhi at 17:45 (all times are local).
Bali has become an increasingly favoured tourist destination among Indian travellers due to its accessibility, proximity, and the convenience of on-arrival facilities.
Vistara has highlighted the fact that India stands as the second-largest source of foreign tourists to Bali. Furthermore, with the provision of visa-free entry upon arrival, Bali continues to be a top holiday choice for Indian citizens, along with its popularity for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE).
“Moreover, as India’s second-largest trading partner within the ASEAN region, Indonesia exhibits substantial potential for business travel. We are thrilled to be the exclusive airline offering direct connectivity between Delhi and Bali,” stated Kannan.
It is important to note that passengers must adhere to visa requirements as stipulated by their respective governmental authorities.
