Bali truly stands out as a haven for tourists, catering to a wide range of interests, from natural beauty and modern attractions to thrilling adventures. Recently, a video featuring a United States-based influencer exploring the Jungle Cart Bali attraction gained widespread attention.

Jungle Cart Bali is an attraction designed as a kart that operates without an engine, resembling the iconic Mario Kart from the video game. This experience provides the thrill of navigating the winding and downhill roads of Ubud-Payangan. In a video shared by the creator @srtlifeshaq (21/09/2023), they can be seen maneuvering a Jungle Cart along a road shared with fast-moving motorbikes and cars.

Afterward, @thebalibible (21/10/2023) via Instagram reposted the video, attracting over 384K views and eliciting numerous comments from Instagram users. Among the comments, a significant number expressed curiosity about the Bali Jungle Cart tour (@junglecartbali). Additionally, several users voiced concerns about the tour’s safety, particularly in light of the rising number of road accidents in Bali.

Despite lacking an engine, the Jungle Cart can be operated much like a conventional motorbike. This has led many to perceive the attraction as potentially dangerous, particularly for tourists who may not possess the necessary skills to control the kart they are riding.

This tourist attraction is still quite new in Bali, as it officially launched in August 2023. To enjoy the experience, you’ll need to pay 380 thousand rupiah, which covers necessary provisions like helmets, refreshing Jamu drinks, and snacks. Each Jungle Cart ride spans 4.5 kilometers, typically taking around 15 to 25 minutes to complete the thrilling journey to the finish line.

Tourists hold diverse opinions on this matter. A significant portion of them opt to steer clear of this ride due to its perceived extremeness, especially considering the need for motorbike-like riding skills. Conversely, many local Indonesian tourists express curiosity about this attraction and eagerly anticipate trying it during their visits to Bali.

It’s essential to emphasize that, despite the safety measures provided by the management, tourists must exercise caution and manage their speed when entering the highway section. Additionally, a strong sense of concentration is necessary for operating the Jungle Cart, as the steeper the descent, the greater the speed the cart attains.
