Chris Martin, the singer of the famous band Coldplay, caught everyone’s eye when he strolled around the Karet area in South Jakarta walking barefoot. In a TikTok video posted by @liacamel11 on 14 November 2023, Martin casually walked barefoot, blending in with the crowd as nobody recognized him. More than 790,000 people have watched the video, and it garnered hundreds of comments.

Chris himself later shared this amusing incident on Coldplay’s official Instagram. After arriving in Jakarta, he made time to hang out with his manager, Phil Harvey. The duo snapped a selfie on a bridge in the Sudirman area.

Their caption “Epic walk in Jakarta” sparked a flood of comments from entertained Indonesian netizens who found the vocalist’s antics quite amusing.

Accommodation Guide during Coldplay Concert in Jakarta

The latest information regarding traffic engineering and the operational hours of the Jakarta MRT on 15 November 2023, for those attending the Coldplay concert in Jakarta is as follows:

  • Authorities will direct traffic from Gatot Subroto Street towards Gerbang Pemuda Street through Slipi.
  • Traffic from Slipi will be routed directly to Semanggi, avoiding the Ladokgi flyover towards Pemuda Gate.
  • From Mustopo Street to Asia Afrika Street will be redirected towards Hang Tuah Raya Street.
  • From Patal Senayan Street towards Asia Afrika into Tentara Pelajar Street.
  • From Tentara Pelajar Street to Patal Senayan will be rerouted via Permata Hijau Street.
  • For those on Manggala Wanabakti Street heading towards Gelora Street, the diversion will lead straight to Tentara Pelajar Street.

MRT Jakarta will operate from 5-1.30 AM with a 5-minute headway at 7-9 AM. And during operational hours 5-7 PM, there will be a 10-minute headway at 9 AM-5 PM and 7 PM-01.30 AM.
