Jakarta News Update: 121 TransJakarta Stations Undergo Changes in 2024

Share:

PT Transportation Jakarta has initiated name changes for numerous Transjakarta stations across 121 locations. This sudden alteration has caused some concern among the public and Transjakarta users, particularly as the company communicated the changes solely through social media.

On 13th January 2024, a total of 13 corridors with 121 stops officially underwent name modifications. Stations that were formerly named after companies or agencies have now been renamed to reflect the local area. For instance, the BNN bus stop is now referred to as Cawang, and the Pertamina Plumpang bus stop has been changed to the Plumpang bus stop.

Many public transportation users expressed their dissatisfaction with the new names in posts on the official Instagram account @pt_transjakarta. A significant number of users feel that the swift change in the Transjakarta stations names is inconvenient and causes unnecessary hassle.
