Viral TikTok Video Shows Foreign Tourists Exploring Bali with their Driver

Share:

Bali, the island of gods known for its natural beauty, rich culture, and friendly people, has long been a major tourist destination in Indonesia.

Tourists usually rent cars or motorcycles to enjoy the beauty of this island. In terms of public transportation, Bali is still improving. Hence, there is talk of building a subway line and an international airport in North Bali.

One crucial element in exploring Bali is having a comfortable and reliable vehicle, often accompanied by an experienced driver. These drivers, more than just chauffeurs, become guides and friends, enhancing the tourists’ experience of Bali.

In a one-of-a-kind TikTok video, a couple of foreign tourists who used the services of a Balinese driver decided to take the driver on vacation with them, creating a unique travel experience.

The video uploaded on the @hashtagmonika account is titled POV: You take your Bali driver everywhere with you instead of leaving him in the car.

@hashtagmonika Your reminder to take your Bali driver with you. They dont earn much and most of them never been places before. Most of the atractions and restaurants are super cheap for us but can be very expensive for the locals. 🥰 #bali #balidriver #ubud #pov #fyp #foryou ♬ On Top Of The World – Imagine Dragons

In addition to inviting the driver to eat at the same table, Monika and her partner also invited the driver to try zip lining in one of Bali’s tourist destinations.

Although he has often taken tourists to various places, the driver has never experienced firsthand the tourist attractions in Bali, such as visiting the Monkey Forest and trying luwak coffee at one of the famous plantations.

In the video liked by millions of TikTok users, someone commented that, hopefully, this action will become a trend where tourists also invite their drivers to travel with them.

We took our driver everywhere with us and when we offered to get her lunch she was so overwhelmed, she was going to sit in the car.” wrote one netizen @crissy.

Have you ever used the services of a hired driver during your visit to Bali? Share your experience.
