Traffic jams in Bali, especially in the Canggu area, are nothing new. In fact, this congestion has also been highlighted as evidence of overtourism in Bali.

Not only is Bali filled with foreign tourists, but the transportation infrastructure is also inadequate, so congestion is inevitable, especially during busy holidays.

A tourist provided interesting information on how to overcome traffic jams from Canggu-Uluwatu. Unexpectedly, the video uploaded on TikTok went viral. What alternatives does he provide to overcome traffic jams?

From the @taufikeffendi88 account, he gave the title “How to go traffic-free from Canggu to Uluwatu“.

He said that it is about two hours away if you look at GoogleMap to get to Uluwatu from Canggu. “What if we just cut the road by sea from here? We’ll see how long it takes by sea,” he exclaimed at the beginning of the content.

In Canggu, he boarded from Nelayan Beach, whose endpoint was Padang-Padang Beach in Uluwatu. The boat, called Jukung by the locals, can fit 12 people, but he only went with six of them at that time.

Before boarding, passengers’ belongings, such as bags and footwear, are placed in a closed storage box arena to be safe and not exposed to water.

The boat ride is also equipped with life jackets for each passenger, ensuring their safety during the journey. Departing from Canggu Bali at 3.20 pm, he said it was quite nerve-wracking at first because of the big waves.

Of course, the jukung boat ride is very beautiful. The Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) statue and the resort can be seen from a distance.

It also appears that the other passengers who boarded were a group of Caucasians or foreigners. It is clear that jukung has become an alternative mode of transportation so as not to get stuck in traffic.

Yes, there is now an alternative vehicle to or from the northern region of Bali, namely by sea using a jukung, a fishing boat.

This service is run by the operator Go Boat.id, which has been operating with a starting point of departure from Jimbaran and Canggu, which are not too far from Kuta.

The video shows that the passenger managed to go from Canggu to Uluwatu in 50 minutes, much better than Google Maps’ prediction of 2 hours using a car.

How much does it cost? The account owner leaked that the ticket costs Rp245,000 one way while leaking that in addition to the Canggu – Uluwatu round trip, there are also Canggu – Jimbaran round trip routes and other routes.

If you want to use the service, you can directly order using the link listed or visit the official Instagram directly with the address @goboat.id.
