Foreign tourists in Bali never fail to stir up attention, and 2025 is proving to be no different.

In a viral video shared by the Instagram account @jkt.feed, a foreign tourist is seen DJing atop a humble chicken noodle cart in Canggu—yes, you read that right!

While some people were enjoying their street food, a full-blown DJ set was underway, complete with beats and beachside vibes.

This unusual scene took place near Batu Bolong Beach, a popular area in Canggu. The comment section on the video was predictably lively. One user joked, “This is cool too bro, let’s go!”, while another confessed, “I can’t finish eating like this, mate.”

The sight of a DJ spinning tracks on a street food cart highlights the growing blend of Bali’s traditional charm with modern global culture. With this trend catching on, one has to wonder—are warungs (traditional food stalls) next in line for impromptu raves?

Batu Bolong Beach: More Than Just Sunbathing

The viral DJ moment is just one of the many vibrant scenes you might stumble upon in Canggu, particularly around Batu Bolong Beach. This area is well-loved by both local and international visitors for its breathtaking natural beauty and dynamic atmosphere.

Known for its soft white sand, bluish sea waters, and stunning sunsets, Batu Bolong Beach offers something for everyone. Surfing is one of the top activities here, with waves suitable for both beginners and seasoned surfers.

Early mornings are a particularly magical time to visit. Arriving around 5:30 or 6:00 AM, you’ll be greeted by cool air, a gentle breeze, and a pastel-coloured sky that transitions from purple to soft blue. Many people take advantage of this peaceful setting for a morning jog or a relaxing stroll with their dogs.

After a refreshing beach walk, head over to the nearby traditional market for a local breakfast. You can enjoy sweet Balinese snacks such as lak-lak—mini pancakes topped with grated coconut and melted palm sugar—or jaje bantal, made from glutinous rice filled with banana, peanuts, or red beans, wrapped neatly in young coconut leaves.
