The Popular Spots for Amed Diving

Japanese Shipwrecks

There is a theory about this shipwreck, the locals say it was from a Japanese patrol ship sunk during the second world war. However, the waves here are quite strong, so this is a spot only for experienced snorkelers. Also, the coast is quite rocky.

Underwater Pyramids

The underwater pyramid is a man-made structure around 15-20 meters in depth. So, it would be too deep for the average snorkeler. You can see the natural coral or reef filled with fish and sometimes you will get to see a turtle.

Submarine Mailbox

You can dive, snorkel, and send postcards in the submarine mailbox area. The Mailbox is a traditional Balinese temple that still stands 5 meters deep near the shore. Easy access for divers and snorkelers.

If you’re interested in sending something, put your card in the little net hanging from the roof and it will be sent to the address written.
