Video Shows Heartwarming Encounter: Australian Tourist Touched by Waitress’s Heartfelt Message in Bali

Share:

Bali has been a popular tourist destination for Australian tourist for decades. Even data from the National Statistics Centre Indonesia states that Australian tourists still make up the majority of tourists who come to Bali.

One thing that makes Bali popular is its natural beauty, beaches and friendly Balinese people.

Like the story shared by Montana, an Australian tourist vacationing in Bali, she often orders food to take home. She has a regular favourite food place that sells chicken rice, cheesecake, and much more.

Through her TikTok account @montana.ontour, she shared a simple story that moved her.

She admitted she was almost moved to tears when one of the servers at a restaurant in Bali treated her very sweetly.

At that time, Montana said the server did not ask her name but wrote, ‘Ms Cantik’ or ‘Ms Beautiful’ on her grocery receipt. She even showed the receipt in her uploaded clip.

The server wrote it in Indonesian, probably with the intention that the tourist would not know the meaning, but she knew the meaning of the word and told the server not to act sweet and romantic like that.

Netizens on the video left many positive comments.

“I thought it was something rude, but how stupid of me to forget that Indonesians, especially in Bali, are the most beautiful people, haha,” wrote one netizen.

Montana replied to the comment: “The world doesn’t deserve the Balinese; they are so sweet, kind, cute, and beautiful,”.

“Honestly, Indonesians are the kindest and friendliest,” wrote another netizen.

Bali never fails to attract the hearts of foreign tourists, especially Australians, to visit.

According to data from Bupa Travel Insurance Indonesia, Bali has remained the most popular tourist destination for travellers from Australia since 2023, followed by the United States, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, among other popular holiday destinations.
