Bali Taxi Returns Lost Phone, Viral Video Captures Tourist’s Relief

Of course, when on vacation, the cell phone is a mandatory item always there. What if this cellphone is lost? Well, of course, it will cause a headache.

Unfortunately, lost cell phones while on vacation are common. As illustrated in this video by @brianna_tire, which went viral on TikTok, a foreign tourist in Bali left her cell phone in a taxi.

From her POV, it appears that her friend stopped every taxi on the side of the road to look for the driver. Fortunately, the driver was found, and the cell phone was returned.

“There are still some good people out there,” she wrote in the caption, a message that surely inspired and uplifted many.

The comments on her social media were flooded. Some wrote that Balinese people believed in karma and had to return what was not theirs.

Others also replied that the cell phone could be found in Bali, reinforcing the statement that Bali is safe.

This is a heartwarming incident that shines a positive light on Balinese hospitality. It’s a refreshing change from the negative news we’ve heard in the past, such as the incident in March where a taxi driver in Bali charged a high price for a trip from Seminyak to Kuta.

In January 2024, the taxi driver insisted on a fare of $50, approximately IDR 775,000, to take them to the Potato Head Bali destination.

The level of safety of tourists using public transportation can be a significant boost for tourism in that place, fostering a sense of optimism.
