British Tourist Caught Stealing Underwear in Canggu, Bali, to Gift His Girlfriend

Love is blind. This seems fitting for a British tourist who was caught stealing women’s underwear in Canggu, Bali.

Not without reason did the tourist with the initials BPG commit a criminal act. Apparently, he stole underwear intending to be a gift for his girlfriend.

It is known that the British tourist stole to give a gift to his girlfriend. The price of the women’s underwear stolen by the perpetrator was IDR 1.1 million. The perpetrator admitted that when he committed this reckless act, he was drunk.

The foreign tourist was promptly apprehended by the Bali police, who took swift action upon receiving a report from social media activist Niluh Djelantik, ensuring the safety and security of the community.

“It happened at Lace And Basics, Jalan Pantai Batu Mejan Canggu, North Kuta. It was around 11:30 Wita. It has been secured at the North Kuta Police Station,” said Badung Police Public Relations Section Ipda I Putu Sukarma to detikBali on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Sukarma said the stolen goods were equivalent to IDR 1.1 million. When meeting the police, Niluh also explained that the British tourist admitted to stealing the Kokon Bralette Silk Color o Night brand bra in size S.

“Niluh Djelantik also explained that the person concerned allegedly had problems in his country. A case of domestic violence, and asked the police to secure the alleged perpetrator,” said Sukarma.

The police are diligently continuing their investigation into BPG’s theft, ensuring that justice is served. The nature of his punishment, whether it be a fine or deportation, is yet to be determined.
