Celebrate New Year 2025: MRT, LRT, and Transjakarta Fares Only IDR 1

The Jakarta Provincial Government is providing a special discount for people who will celebrate New Year’s Eve 2025. The IDR 1 tariff applies to people who take public transportation: Transjakarta, MRT, and LRT Jakarta on New Year’s Eve.

Jakarta Transportation Agency revealed this through its Instagram account @dishubdkijakarta.

“Two full days to welcome the turn of the year by taking public transportation, all IDR 1!!” said the Jakarta Transportation Agency.

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Syafrin Liputo stated that they expect people to use public transportation more than private vehicles during the new year celebrations with this special tariff.

Syafrin invited the public to enjoy public transportation services on New Year’s Eve 2025 in Jakarta. Given that the public transportation rates offered are very affordable,

“Through this very affordable tariff, people can also explore various corners of Jakarta, visit tourist attractions, or simply enjoy the atmosphere and various New Year’s Eve entertainment in the city centre,” he said.

The special fare to welcome the new year starts on December 31, 2024, at 00.00 WIB until January 1, 2025, at 23.59 WIB.

As for Microtrans Services, Transjakarta Cares, other Transjakarta Assignment Services and Free Services for certain people according to DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 133/2018, which already has a tariff of Rp0, still applies according to the initial tariff.

The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency has prepared four activities and events to enliven the moment of New Year 2025.

These activities and events are JeJAKi Jakarta, Bentang Harapan JAKasa, Jakpreneur Bazaar and “Late Night Shopping” to “Semarak Jakarta Mendunia” entertainment and other entertainment.

The most anticipated entertainment segment, “Semarak Jakarta Mendunia”, will present famous Indonesian musicians such as Letto, Naff, Ten2Five, RAN, Endah N Rhesa, Yura Yunita and many more.

There are a total of 23 entertainment stages spread across “Semarak Jakarta Mendunia” at Jalan MH Thamrin and Jalan Jend Sudirman, Pesona Dekade Lapangan Banteng and Sorak Sorai Fest Taman Mini Indonesia Indah.
