Chaos Reigns at Coldplay Concert in Jakarta, The Gatecrashers Gone Wild

Share:

Tens of thousands of Indonesian fans warmly embraced Coldplay’s successful concert at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium Jakarta on 15 November 2023. The band enchanted the audience with a magnificent and memorable stage performance.

Chris Martin captivated the audience by performing various Coldplay songs like Yellow, Paradise, and more. An interesting highlight was his use of sign language while singing “Something Just Like This,” leaving the audience even more amazed.

However, amidst the concert’s splendour, a series of unfortunate incidents unfolded for a handful of attendees. A Twitter account, @adnardn, detailed numerous chaotic occurrences during the Coldplay concert, involving both the audience and the organizers’ management.

Ticket Scanning Failure at Coldplay Concert Leaves Fans Frustrated

The surge in ticket broker activity at Coldplay concert has left many individuals as victims. Within this thread, numerous attendees claimed they purchased tickets from brokers, only to discover these tickets couldn’t be scanned as they had already been used by others.

This wasn’t an isolated incident but affected dozens of people. Fraudulent ticketing at Coldplay concert isn’t a new occurrence. Just prior to this event, there was a 15 billion rupiah ticket fraud case involving a woman named Ghisca Debora.

Moreover, several spectators opted for the COD (Cash On Delivery) system with their brokers at the venue, only to find themselves deceived when the brokers vanished as the event commenced.

Spectators Force Entry, Breaching the Ultimate Gate Section at Coldplay Concert

A lot of people rushed into the GBK area, making things pretty intense around the stadium. Many got fooled by ticket brokers but still really wanted to see the awesome Coldplay concert.

Because of this, things got crazy when some folks broke through the gate in the fanciest section of the concert. There wasn’t enough security watching over things, which made it risky. Some managed to get inside without tickets, causing a big mess outside the stadium.

And it didn’t end there. After the concert, there was more chaos between online taxi drivers waiting for passengers. They ended up arguing, making things even crazier. Luckily, security stepped in and calmed things down a few hours later.
