This art exhibition at Museum MACAN features significant works by well-known artists. From the painter Affandi to Raden Saleh and Walter Spies. All of the paintings are part of the MACAN’s main collection. The exhibition’s title is derived from the text of Indonesia’s proclamation of independence. “d.l.l.” means “others,” which can also mean “other similar things.” Visitors are invited to reflect on the manifestations of power, including its relationship to regions and landscapes in Indonesia, through the exhibition.

As a result, the paintings on display here include Raden Saleh’s Indies Landscape (1853) and Javanese Mail Station (1879). Sudjojono also created an image titled “Ngaso” (1964) that depicts the resting condition of freedom fighters.
