Post-match, the situation outside the stadium turned highly chaotic, leading to the Deltras FC team being stranded at the stadium for several hours. When the situation improved, the players hurried onto the bus and headed back home to Sidoarjo.

As of 21 November 2023, seven football supporters are undergoing treatment due to respiratory issues caused by police tear gas. Controversy has erupted around this incident, with many condemning the police’s decision to use tear gas to scatter the crowd.
Reflecting on the tragic Kanjuruhan incident in 2022, deploying tear gas to disperse football supporters is highly perilous. Rather than calming the situation, its use could exacerbate matters and hold the potential for a catastrophic loss of life.
