Elon Musk’s Bali Visit: Batik Fashion and Alien Discussions

Share:

Elon Musk has been garnering attention since setting foot in Indonesia last weekend. He arrived in Bali to attend the 10th World Water Forum and inaugurate the Starlink internet service in Indonesia.

Arriving in Indonesia, Elon wore typical Indonesian clothing, namely Batik. He wore green Bomba batik from Central Sulawesi.

However, this is not the first time the 2nd richest man in the world has worn the Batik. The shirt sent by Anindya Bakrie was previously worn when Musk attended the B20 Summit virtually during the G20 Summit in 2022.

On that occasion, Anindya Bakrie, who interviewed Musk, explained that his green shirt came from a small village in Central Sulawesi.

“The Batik is Batik Bomba, which comes from Central Sulawesi. A place where a lot of nickel is needed for electric car (EV) batteries and where the Net Zero Industrial Park and other clean energy projects will be built. In accordance with the theme of our conversation at that time,” Anindya explained, as reported by DetikFinance.

Talking about aliens and watching sparrows

Elon Musk was the opening speaker at the 10th World Water Forum Summit in Bali on Monday, May 20, 2024. At that moment, he had time to discuss aliens.

Elon Musk discussed aliens and tried to link them to the water issue. What did he say?

“I always think we refer to Earth as Earth (land), when in fact Earth is made up of 70% water based on its surface area,” Elon Musk said.

“So, technically, I think if aliens came to Earth, they would refer to us as water because Earth is 70% water and only 30% land,” he added.

A video circulated on social media, one of which was shared by the Instagram account @omg.official.id

It shows the moment Elon Musk, who appeared to be present wearing a dark green batik, was seen seriously looking at an object above him.

Instead of seeing something strange in the sky, Elon Musk apparently saw a flock of sparrows flying at that location. Not only was Elon made to wonder about the appearance of a sparrow, but his bodyguards were, too.

His bodyguards were also seen several times looking up, where there were flocks of birds flying in the sky.

Many netizens thought that maybe Elon thought the birds were drones.
