Bali has its own charm. Not only does Bali offer natural beauty, but its warm atmosphere inspires many people to share positive vibes.

Expats who come to Bali, whether for holiday or stay, also have their own ideas to share positivity. The warmth of Bali’s people and atmosphere is contagious to them, too!

Let’s see what the positive events are from this island of Gods.

1. The Hug Your Driver trend

This trend shows expats in Bali hugging online motorbike drivers. It quickly went viral on social media.

The use of online motorbike taxis in Bali is indeed massive. They are used not only by locals but also by tourists. Even online motorbike taxis are widely praised by foreigners because they greatly facilitate their activities.

In Hug Your Driver, expats hugged the online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver who took them to a destination.

A viral video showed a tourist standing on a pedestrian in the Canggu area.

The tourists who were passing by and reading the writing immediately hugged their drivers, both male and female tourists.

There’s also the Tip Your Gojek Driver trend that encourages expats to tip motorcycle drivers.

This video also reaped various comments from netizens.

“Simple, but how come I’m happy to see the driver’s smile,” wrote the @vinnachris*** account.

“Seeing this, I’m really happy, (they) appreciating someone’s service with a hug, and the driver are even more enthusiastic about working,” said the @ryymr*** account.
