Icon Bali Mall, predicted to be the largest mall in Southeast Asia, has finally officially opened. This large mall in the Sanur area was opened to the public after previously changing the grand opening schedule from March to June.

Icon Bali Mall, not just the largest in Bali but also the largest shopping center in Southeast Asia, is a game-changer. With its unique feature of a floating market, it’s set to redefine the shopping experience in the region, potentially outshining even the shopping centers in Thailand. The hope is that this new attraction will become a must-visit spot for tourists in Bali.

This is the same for shopping lovers and local tourists who only know Jakarta’s large and magnificent malls.

The Chief Public Relations officer of Icon Bali Mall, Tri Christy Novia Tambunan, explained that the concept of Icon Bali Mall was inspired by the natural beauty of Bali, which combines several elements: terraced rice fields, tropical plants, frangipani flowers, and salak fruit.

“ICON Bali offers an instantly accessible shopping, dining, and beach recreation experience, creating a unique destination for locals and tourists alike,” Tri told DetikBali.

One of the major draws of Icon Bali Mall is the presence of the first IMAX in Bali. This state-of-the-art cinema technology promises an immersive movie experience, adding to the allure of the mall.

“To enhance the shopping and entertainment experience, Cinema XXI at ICON Bali introduces IMAX as the first IMAX experience in Bali,” Tri said.

At the same time, IMAX Vice President of Theater Development Preetham Daniel expressed his enthusiasm for Cinema XXI IMAX to be present in Bali. According to him, Indonesia is one of the fastest-growing cinema markets in Southeast Asia.

The mall is more than just a shopping and movie destination. It offers a unique entertainment experience with the introduction of Timezone, a popular gaming zone. The mall features a variety of new games, some of which are exclusive to Icon Bali Mall and not found in other Bali malls or even in Timezone outlets in Australia, making it a haven for gaming enthusiasts.

Icon Bali Mall is not just a shopping destination, but a comprehensive experience. With two entrances, one from Jalan Danau Tamblingan and the other directly connected to Sanur Beach, it offers convenience and accessibility.

Visitors can enjoy a range of facilities, including beach access, community activity areas, clinics, currency exchange, a tourist information center, and a spacious parking area that can accommodate 1,100 cars and 700 motorcycles, as well as parking for bicycles.

Traffic engineering was carried out the day before the mall’s opening to avoid congestion on Jalan Danau Tamblingan Sanur when it opened later.

This road is applied in one direction, specifically for cars, while it still applies in two directions for motorcycles.

On the first day of operation of Icon Bali Mall, many visitors, both local and foreign tourists, came. They were curious about what was inside the magnificent mall. The traffic situation around the mall was observed to be congested but quite smooth.
