Indonesia Hotel Review 2024: The All-Inclusive Package at Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua Bali

Social Expat was delighted to be allowed to visit the incredible Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua, Bali, and sample its incredible all-inclusive experience!

All-inclusive stays are few and far between across Indonesia, so the Hyatt is one of the pioneers of this experience, meaning we were very excited to give this a try!

This is the second time we have been fortunate to experience the Grand Hyatt; however, this is the first time to try the all-inclusive package, and we couldn’t wait to get started!

About Grand Hyatt

Indonesia Hotel Review 2024: The All-Inclusive Package at Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua Bali
Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua Bali offers a high quality hotel, pristine beaches, and a more traditional style of Bali holiday – perfect for families and couples. Source: hyatt.com

The Grand Hyatt is located in the prestigious area of Nusa Dua, famed for being a closed community of quality hotels, pristine beaches, and a more traditional style of Bali holiday – perfect for families and couples.

The Grand Hyatt hotel as a whole is humongous and perfectly manicured, expanding from its private, golden sand beach all the way inland to its tennis courts and exceptional spa. Ponds, lagoons, grass, statues, pools, well-manicured gardens, and beautiful Balinese architecture all line the property throughout, making this hotel one of the most unique and aesthetically beautiful hotels in Bali.

The beach cabanas dotted around the private beach make the feeling of paradise and luxury exude from the soul. Paired with the breathtaking view of the sea, we’ve found a piece of paradise that feels unrivalled.

Welcome to the Grand Hyatt Bali. A piece of paradise carved into the island.

The Facilities and Attractions

As mentioned, this hotel is vast and subsequently boasts a variety of restaurants and attractions. The hotel offers a diversity of cuisines to suit everyone’s tastebuds and the dining options include:

Garden Café – International restaurant.

Lili Cita – A sports bar with bar snacks.

Nampu – Japanese restaurant.

Salsa Verde – Italian restaurant.

Water Court – Asian restaurant and;

The Grand Club lounge offers snacks and canapes for club members.

Outside of that, there are lots of other facilities, including a fitness centre packed with a gym, cardio equipment, swimming pool, squash courts, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and plunge pool. There is also Kriya Spa, which is an exceptional spa facility, a toddlers, kids, and teens club, ballrooms for events and celebrations, tennis courts, a water sports centre, a medical clinic, a barbershop, and even its own shopping arcade!

The Hyatt’s facilities really make it the perfect place to explore, relax and make the most of your time off!

The Stay Experience

As previously mentioned, this is the second time we have been fortunate to stay at the Grand Hyatt, and after our exceptional experience last time, we were even more excited to be coming back again!

Check in

The check-in experience was fantastic and we were given the VIP treatment and whisked off to a private check-in area for Hyatt members. We were greeted with smiling faces, cold towels, snacks, welcome drinks and a knowledgeable and friendly team.

This was the perfect start to our trip!

The Room

There are a variety of room options available and this time we experienced the Grand Suite King, an exceptional room located in the North Village of the hotel. Our room had a long balcony overlooking a vast pond which was great for nature watching due to the variety of wildlife. We saw stalks, ducks and other bird species, but we loved watching the giant lizards swimming around the pond the most!

The Grand Suite King room is exceptional overall. It is spacious at 98 sqm, well-presented, and themed in a romantic Balinese style.

The room’s facilities included a spacious living and dining area, bath and rain shower, his and hers sinks, a kitchen area with coffee and tea facilities, all the essentials you need to be comfortable, and my favourite part, a cosy day bed, which was the perfect place to rest and read a book whilst looking at the wildlife.

The All-Inclusive package

The all-inclusive package does exactly what it says and it delivers in value! As a 5-star resort, prices per item are comparable to other hotels in the area, but it would be very easy to rack up a huge bill especially when consuming alcohol or fine dining.

The all-inclusive package allows you to have the freedom to order whatever you like, without the worry of how much you are spending. It works across all the bars and restaurants across the hotel and provides a worry-free experience.

After utilizing the all-inclusive, we couldn’t see a way back. It is extremely cost effective, especially if you eat and dine throughout the day.

Grand Hyatt Bali Restaurants, Bars and Food Reviews

We were lucky to try most of the restaurants on this trip and had some truly incredible food and dining experiences!

Lila Cita – Is a new sports bar that offers more traditional snack foods and fast food in a sports bar setting. The venue is really modern, comfortable, and spacious, with a few games to keep you occupied. This was a great place to relax in the evening or escape to in the afternoon for an afternoon beer.

Nampu – Probably our favourite dining experience of the trip, and we wish we could have come back again! The Sushi and Sashimi were incredible, but the best thing on the menu was their mango crème brule! Absolutely to die for, and it’s worth coming back alone!

Salsa Verde – Fantastic Italian cruise facing the pool and the sea. It has inside AC seating and outside Al Fresco dining options. The food here is fantastic, and the menu is varied.

Sala Bar – Located on top of Salsa Verde, this rooftop terrace has views towards the ocean and is perfectly romantic for watching the sun go down! If you are looking for the best place to have a cocktail at sunset, this is the place to be!

Grand Club Lounge – This area is reserved for club members and offers snacks and drinks throughout the day. It has beautiful views of the ponds and is a great place to relax and unwind throughout the day.

Overall, all the food we had was exceptional, well-prepared, and tasty. All the staff in the restaurants and bars were unbelievably kind, knowledgeable, and attentive, and it was clear that they enjoyed working within the Grand Hyatt.

There were a number of other places that we didn’t have time to visit during our stay, which included the beach bar, the corner store, shopping arcade, kids club, tennis courts, Veranda Lounge & Bar, the Garden café, the Balinese feature pool, the Grand Club pool, the mini golf course, and Pasar Senggol (a night market), which goes to show that 2 nights is definitely not enough time to benefit from all the facilities!

General Facilities

As morning people and sun worshippers, we wanted to make the most of the day and get out and about, so utilizing the gym facilities and relaxing around the pool/the beach was the order of the day!

We also took a few spins on the waterslides, which we believe are for children, but it was really fun and definitely worth a go!

The lagoon pool is really vast and nice to swim around. You can find a spot of shade to hide, or you can jump in the icy plunge pool for a refreshing change of pace.

The money shot of this hotel really is the expansive private beach. It’s vast, pristine, clean, and just stunning. It was amazing to see such a great beach in Bali so peaceful. Other beaches around Bali are open to the public, and that means stray animals, street sellers, beggars, random entertainment, and a lot of mess. This beach is exceptional and private. Relaxing here was amazing, and we are just sad we didn’t have more time to enjoy the ambience.

Walking around the hotel is an experience in itself; just looking at the scenery and the relaxed atmosphere is an experience in itself. We can’t express it enough just how comfortable and peaceful it is. You have to try it for yourself!

Additional Information

All the beachfront hotels share a walking path adjacent to the beach. This means you can comfortably walk between hotels and attractions. Outside the Hyatt, you can walk to some small shops, a mall, local attractions, and other beach bars.

Taking a walk outside reveals many other dining options and places to visit. It’s incredibly safe in this area, so no matter what time of day, you can rest assured you will be safe.

And Overall…

We cannot recommend this hotel enough! Our only criticism is that we needed more time.

2 nights is definitely not enough, and we would recommend at least 4 nights to really enjoy the facilities, in an ideal world, much longer!

Having tried the all-inclusive, we would thoroughly recommend this if you plan to stay on the hotel grounds during your trip. You can very easily make up the difference in spending, and you can try many more things you may not have had you been ordering off the menu and paying separately.

If you are looking for an incredible holiday experience, then look no further than the Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua. We will most certainly be going back, and we recommend you do too!
