Kintan: A Fantastic All-You-Can-Eat Yakiniku for Everyone

Looking for an affordable all-you-can-eat restaurant that serves premium beef for Yakiniku? You should consider Kintan a grilled meat restaurant in the same group as Shaburi. Normally, you’ll be able to find Kintan and Shaburi restaurants in one place or even side by side so wherever Shaburi is, Kintan will be there too.

For our lunch, we opt to go to their restaurant located in Senayan City. The place is spacious and with an all-you-can-eat buffet and drinks situated in the centre of the restaurant. Since we went during lunchtime on weekdays, the price and buffet differ compared to the weekend and dinner menu. 90 minutes can-eat dining starts at IDR 163,000 for adults and we opted for the Kintan Buffet set that costs IDR 242,000 per person.

In this set, there are 7 different beef, lamb, and chicken that you can choose from. I couldn’t start grilling the meat before picking up some condiments from the buffet to accompany the meat. They have several fried foods like fries, karaage, and others. They also provide fresh vegetables like lettuce and such so you’ll be able to eat your beef Korean barbecue-style too. Don’t forget their special sauces too, a sweet tare sauce is a must for me as it’s sweet and compliments the beef so well.

While the fried food doesn’t really taste delicious as it’s been out for quite a while, it’s still a good snack while you wait for your beef to finish cooking. Love their Gyu Tongue, compared to any piece of beef, the beef tongue has a slightly smooth texture and completely melts in your mouth like any other beef. We love the lamb too but depending on how long you grill it, it might come off too hard to chew. To be honest, the chicken tastes ordinary as the beef and lamb have outshined it.

Just like in Shaburi, you’ll request to the server which meat you’d like to have and they’ll bring it out to you to ensure the hygiene and quality of the meat stay fresh. They are very attentive, friendly and also knowledgeable about the different types of meat and sets they sell if you ever find yourself contemplating which sets to go.

Overall, it’s a good place to eat with your friends that have attentive employees. Plus, the price is quite reasonable for the quality of meat they provide. If you happen to be in one of the malls in Jakarta, make sure to find and try out Kintan!
