Limited International Arrivals Gates During PPKM

6th September – The Government has extended the Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement (PPKM), thus the limited International Arrivals entrance gates for domestic and foreign travellers. This PPKM extension will be effective until 3rd October 2022.

The Director General of Regional Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Safrizal, there will be an adjustment in PPKM regulations, especially for outside of Java-Bali, through the adjustment of the entry for foreign travellers (PPLN).

International Arrival Gates are only available at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Jakarta), Juanda (Surabaya), Ngurah Rai (Bali), Hang Nadim (Batam), Sam Ratulangi (Manado), Zainudin Abdul Madjid (Lombok), Kualanamu (Deli Serdang), Sultan Hasanuddin (Makassar), and Yogyakarta International Airport.

Additionally, Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport (Banda Aceh), Minangkabau Airport (Padang), Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan (Balikpapan), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekan Baru), Kertajati Airport (West Java), H.A.S. Hanandjoeddin Airport (Bangka Belitung), and Sentani Airport (Papua) also have entrance gates for international arrivals.

Apart from the PPLN, the implementation of the regulations does not have much difference from the implementation of the previous policy.

Safrizal claims that based on the inputs of experts, all areas in Indonesia are in PPKM Level 1 despite the positivity rate still above WHO standards.

He also encourages the regional government must continue to collaborate to increase the number of vaccination doses now that travellers (both trains and aeroplanes) are required to have booster vaccine shots.

“When there is a chance, we won’t stop pushing the importance of accelerating the booster vaccine shot as nationally, it’s still below 30 percent,” said Safrizal.

Malls, Cinemas, and Hotel at PPKM Level 1

All malls, cinemas and hotels operating in the Java and Bali areas, it’s allowed to operate at 100 percent with operational hours until 10 PM.  All visitors must obey the health protocols and do screening through PeduliLindungi app.

However, only visitors in the green category of the PeduliLindungi app are the ones allowed in with the exception of being unable to be vaccinated due to health reasons.

Children under the age of 12 can enter the vicinity accompanied by their parents. While children around 6 to 12 years old must show proof of vaccination or certificate with a minimum of the first dose.
