In a world where convenience and natural beauty rarely intersect, a pair of minimarket outlets in Bali are quietly challenging that norm, offering visitors more than just daily essentials. A video recently circulated on social media has brought widespread attention to a rather unexpected subject: a minimarket with a breathtaking sea view.
The footage, originally captured by a netizen and later re-shared by the popular Instagram account @indonesia_geographic, has captured the imaginations of viewers across Indonesia and beyond.

In the video, the camera pans to reveal the rear side of the minimarket, where a serene stretch of blue sea calmly unfolds, creating a tranquil and picturesque backdrop to an otherwise ordinary setting.
The uploader captioned the post with the words, “After the viral Indomaret mountain view, now there is an Indomaret sea view. Who has been here?”
This clip follows the earlier popularity of another video showcasing an Indomaret branch nestled amidst the mountains of Wonosobo, Central Java. The notion that a simple, everyday retail store could offer such impressive scenery has intrigued many and sparked a wave of interest in similarly located outlets.
The island of Bali, with its seemingly endless array of natural wonders and rich cultural heritage, continues to offer surprising juxtapositions of everyday life and stunning landscapes. The Indomaret store featured in the recent viral video is a prime example.
Located in North Bali, this particular outlet has received enthusiastic praise from social media users, owing to its scenic location that overlooks the open sea.
Indomaret’s Statement
Speaking to Kompas, Bastari Akmal, the Marketing Communication Executive Director for Indomaret, confirmed the existence and popularity of the outlet in question. He explained, “That is one of the Indomaret stores with a beautiful natural view, namely the Indomaret Raya Air Sanih store, Jalan Raya Air Sanih, Kubutambahan Village, Kubutambahan District, Buleleng Regency, Bali.”
Visitors to this store can do more than just shop for necessities; they are also encouraged to take a moment to unwind at the back of the minimarket, where the view opens directly to the sea. The peaceful scenery provides a unique setting for reflection and relaxation—something seldom associated with convenience store visits.
Finding the Indomaret Raya Air Sanih location is relatively straightforward, as it sits along the main road. However, it is worth noting that the journey from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport can be quite lengthy, requiring approximately two hours by motorcycle or up to three hours by car, depending on traffic conditions.
This is not the only Indomaret outlet that has been celebrated for its impressive views.
Akmal further stated, “The Indomaret Geopark Kintamani store is located on Jalan Raya Penelokan Batur Tengah, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, Bali.” This particular branch has gained popularity for its dramatic mountain backdrop and close proximity to the iconic Mount Batur.
Another Minimarket with Lovely View
Indeed, another Indomaret outlet situated in the mountainous region of Batur, Kintamani, has also caught the attention of social media users. Tucked away in the highlands of Bangli, this store offers visitors panoramic views of the surrounding volcanic landscape. The setting, which many liken to a terrestrial paradise, has become a talking point for travellers and locals alike.
The official Indomaret Instagram account (@indomaret) recently uploaded a video showcasing the store, prompting a wave of comments from fascinated viewers. One user commented, “Kintamani is this right? View of Mount Batur,” while another enthusiastically wrote, “Wahhh kerenn minn 👏 want to go there.”
These locations serve as a reminder that even the most routine aspects of life, such as a quick trip to the minimarket, can be transformed into something memorable when set against the backdrop of Bali’s natural beauty.
Whether perched by the sea or nestled among volcanic peaks, these Indomaret stores are quietly redefining what it means to shop with a view.
