He said he would provide a space in Dukuh Atas, the intersection of the Dukuh Atas MRT and Sudirman railway station, enabling young people from the suburbs to socialize and display their sense of style.

He wants to give these youngsters a place and an opportunity to show off their fashion style. The minister stated that “Citayam Fashion Week,” a fashion show spontaneously produced by the youth gathering at Dukuh Atas, might be a way to promote fashion trends and tourism due to its distinctiveness and popularity.

Uno expressed confidence that the youth from the “SCBD” regions, who are well-known in the suburbs, may serve as influencers to assist market the goods produced by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

He claimed that the uniqueness and potential for fashion trendsetters make it increasingly interesting. He added that the ministry has also provided scholarships for young people who are leading initiatives that benefit the growth of the tourist and creative industries.

Uno clarified that in addition to scholarships, the ministry also gives young people chances to learn about the creation of original content that will increase their popularity.

Ahmad Riza Patria, the deputy governor of Jakarta, had expressed his approval of young people from suburban areas congregating and having a good time together at Dukuh Atas.

The deputy governor claimed that the mixing of locals in the Dukuh Atas area shows that Jakarta is a desirable tourism destination for citizens of Jakarta’s buffer regions of Bogor, Tangerang, Depok, and Bekasi.
