MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo expressed his desire to live in Bali via Instagram. He claimed to have fallen in love and felt at home in Bali. The racer from the Yamaha even wants to live on the Island of the Gods.

Apparently, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, welcomed this desire. He also welcomed MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo’s desire to live in Bali. Sandi will even prepare a golden visa for the French racer.

“For Fabio Quartararo, a golden visa awaits you,” Sandiaga said briefly in The Final Episode of Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno, which was held virtually on October 14, 2024, as quoted by Detik.

There has been no further explanation of whether the remarks were just lip service. Still, Tourism and Creative Economy Main Expert of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Nia Niscaya, said that his party welcomed Fabio’s plan. Given that Fabio has a big name in the world of MotoGP,

Fabio Quartararo looks at home in Bali. Since participating in the competition in Mandalika, Lombok, he has visited the island and revealed how comfortable it is to live there.

“Bali, I am coming to live here soon,” Quartararo wrote on his Instagram.

Quartararo uploaded two photos of himself with the sea in the background at Uluwatu. He was fascinated by the beauty of Bali.

Golden visa for an important figure in sports

If indeed the granting of a Golden Visa to Fabio is serious, then he will become the second Golden Visa holder in the field of sports after Shin Tae Yong.

South Korean coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, received a golden visa facility granted by President Joko Widodo on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

The granting of the golden visa is the first time the Indonesian government has done so. This means that the national team football coach became the first person to get the facility after it was launched.

Foreigners who obtain a Golden Visa from Indonesia can get various exclusive benefits, one of which is a longer period of stay.
Golden Visa holders also have the convenience of leaving and entering Indonesia, without the need to apply for a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) to the immigration office.
