Following the incident, the Jetstar flight was rescheduled to depart on Tuesday, 19th March 2024. The airline took responsibility for compensating affected passengers by covering accommodation expenses and other associated costs. According to a report by News.com.au, the decision to return to Melbourne was made by the pilot to seek assistance from the Australian Federal Police.

“Given the circumstances, some crew members were unable to continue the flight, and it has been rescheduled for 10 am tomorrow. We will arrange overnight accommodation for any passengers in need and cover reasonable expenses for meals,” stated a spokesperson for Jetstar. “The safety of our passengers and crew remains our top priority.”

According to accounts from fellow passengers, the disruptive woman went as far as wandering into the cabin aisle and spitting at others during the flight. Flightradar24 data indicates that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner was carrying 300 passengers bound for Bali, Indonesia.

One passenger labelled the woman as “the passenger from hell,” noting that she verbally abused anyone who crossed her path, even pushing a fellow passenger holding a baby, as shared on social media.

Another witness among the flight’s passengers dubbed them collectively as the “Passengers from Hell,” describing how the unruly individual cursed at anyone in their path while onboard the plane.
