October 31 – U.S. President Joe Biden will visit Indonesia from 13-16 November 2022 to attend the G20 Summit in Bali. The news is as reported by the White House said in a statement on Friday (28/10/2022).
Prior to Indonesia, the US president’s office said, Mr Biden, will visit Egypt and Cambodia.
In Bali, the US president will work with other delegates to address key challenges, such as climate change and the global impact of the war in Ukraine. The discussion will include energy and food security and purchasing power, the White House said.
Biden will also discuss a series of other priorities related to global economic recovery efforts.
Meanwhile, during his visit to Egypt, Biden will participate in the United Nations summit on climate change, COP27.
At the summit, which will take place on 11 November, Biden will make a call for the world to act “in this decisive decade”, his office said.
From Egypt, the White House said, Biden, will travel to Cambodia on 12-13 November to attend the US-ASEAN Summit and the East Asia Summit.

During his trip to Cambodia, Biden will affirm the United States enduring commitment to Southeast Asia while underscoring the critical value of US-ASEAN cooperation in ensuring security and prosperity in the region. The statement referred to The White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre.
Biden, however, will not attend the summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum taking place in the Thai capital on November 18-19.
The White House also revealed that US Vice President Kamala Harris will also travel to Asia and North Africa following Biden’s visit.
Harris will also travel to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum Summit on 18-19 November. The trip is to emphasise the US commitment to economic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
In addition to that, Harris, will also travel to Manila, Philippines, for meetings with government leaders and civil society representatives, The White House said.
