Recommended Ramen Shops in Jakarta — Ramen is one of the favourite Japanese foods in the whole world, which includes Indonesia too. There are some ramen chain restaurants in Indonesia that originally came from Japan and there are some from Indonesia but both of them are guaranteed to bring the best ramen in town! Do note that some ramen restaurant doesn’t serve pork or lard, make sure to check their website first before going.

Ippudo

Ippudo is a ramen chain restaurant originating in Japan. They have branches in various places around Jakarta especially in some of the most prominent malls here. They have three signature ramen which are the Shiromaru, Akamaru and Tantanmen. Other than ramen, they also have menus with rice, salad, sushi and some signature buns that you should try too!

Ikkudo Ichi

Another local favourite ramen restaurant is Ikkudo Ichi. They have two different restaurants, the one that serves only chicken and the one that doesn’t. Their specialty ramen is the Buta Signature if you prefer pork and Tori Signature for chicken. You can choose if you prefer the curly or straight ramen too! They also offer some rice dishes like donburi and Japanese curry along with a variety of side dishes like karaage, gyoza, and chasiu aburi.

Ramen Ya!

Ramen Ya! is where you go if you’re looking for some delicious and affordable ramen! Do note that they don’t serve any pork or lard menu but regardless, it’s still delicious. Their Legendary Chicken Ramen is legendary and what you should go for! They have the trendiest ramen menu too like adding melted cheese to your ramen or perhaps donburi.

Bariuma ramen

Another ramen chain restaurant from Japan, specifically Hiroshima, claims to have the richest pork-flavoured soup (tonkotsu). Their specialty ramen is their Zeitaku-Uma, consisting of thick pork slices, omega 3 egg, corn, and a huge seaweed. When you’re here, don’t miss out on their gyoza and authentic yakitori too!

Seirock-ya

Seirock-ya is a Halal Ramen in Jakarta. You won’t find any pork or lard menu in this ramen restaurant however; their menu is developed by a Japanese ramen chef thus making it as authentic as other ramen restaurants yet Halal. They have two types of ramen, which is the soup-based ramen with different flavours and also Abura or dry ramen. Other than ramen, they also serve some rich menus, and appetizers like gyoza, karaage, shumai, croquette, and chicken katsu.

Ichiro Ramen

Ichiro Ramen provides different variety of menus. From the colourful ramen menus, ala carte menus, rice menus, and appetizers up to desserts. What makes this ramen restaurant some local’s favourite, especially for those who want a fulfilling meal without having to put a lot of money, is that they offer a free ramen noodle flow for every ramen menu you order!
