Saudia Airlines Launches Bali–Jeddah Direct Flights for Easier Travel

Share:

Travelling between Bali and Jeddah is now easier with the launch of Saudia Airlines’ new direct flight route. Starting March 31, 2025, passengers can fly directly between Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali and King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) in Jeddah.

This route will be served by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, offering 24 business class seats and 274 economy class seats. Saudia Airlines will operate this flight three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—as part of its strategy to expand global connectivity.

As reported by SWA, Saudia’s Manager for Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand, Faisal Allah, expressed enthusiasm about this expansion:

“We believe this new route will provide more convenience for passengers who want to enjoy the beauty of Bali or travel to Jeddah with more flexible options.”

Saudia Airlines Expands in Indonesia

This new route is part of Saudia Airlines’ broader expansion in Indonesia. In addition to Bali, the airline announced that it will begin flights from Medan’s Kualanamu Airport (KNO) to Jeddah and Medina, starting August 31, 2024. This makes Medan the second city in Indonesia, after Jakarta, to have regular Saudia flights.

The Medan route will include four flights per week, with the addition of Medina as a second destination in Saudi Arabia after Jeddah. This move aligns with Saudia’s commitment to serving Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, as well as general travellers looking for more direct options.

A Leading Airline in the Middle East

Founded in 1945, Saudia Airlines (formerly Saudi Arabian Airlines) has grown into one of the largest airlines in the Middle East. It serves over 100 destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.

In 2024, Saudia was recognized at the Skytrax World Airline Awards as the “World’s Most Improved Airline” and also won “Best Economy Class Catering”. Since joining the SkyTeam alliance in 2012, Saudia has expanded its services through partnerships with other global airlines.

With plans to add 103 new aircraft in the coming years, Saudia is focused on modernizing its fleet and improving travel experiences. For more details or to book tickets, visit www.saudia.com.
