Several Top Bali Destinations Raises Entrance Fee for Foreign Tourist in 2024

Share:

Approaching the new year in 2024, several top Bali destinations intend to raise their entrance ticket prices for both domestic and international tourists. Based on the most recent data from the Bali Central Statistics Agency in October 2023, the number of international tourists stood at 4.3 million, marking a substantial rise compared to 2022, and there’s an anticipation that this figure might exceed 6 million tourists by the year’s end.

Given the substantial influx of tourists, managers at key Balinese destinations such as Tanah Lot and Ulun Danu Beratan have decided to introduce new entrance fees commencing 1 January 2024. Below are the updated details regarding the ticket prices specifically at Tanah Lot:

Tourists holding a KITAS (Temporary Stay Permit Card) in Indonesia will pay the same fee as domestic tourists. Tanah Lot was visited by 1.8 million visitors in 2023, marking a 500,000 increase from the previous year.

According to I Putu Erawan, the Public Relations Manager of Tanah Lot, ticket prices increase at Bali destinations for several reasons. After the decline of COVID-19, there has been no adjustment in ticket pricing in Tanah Lot for the past few years.

Besides the rise in ticket prices, Tanah Lot’s tourism management will undertake multiple facility enhancements to enhance tourists’ comfort during their travels. They have actively communicated this policy to various guides and agents through social media channels.

Furthermore, another prominent Bali destination, Ulun Danu Beratan in Tabanan, has raised its entrance ticket prices in 2024. However, the increment only applies to domestic tourist tickets. Here are the details of the entrance ticket prices for Ulun Danu Beratan in 2024:
