Tebet Eco Park in South Jakarta won the Seoul Design Award 2024, which was held on Friday, October 25, 2024.

The victory is known through the official Instagram social media account @seouldesignaward, where Tebet Eco Park is written as one of the Main Prizes Winners of the Seoul Design Award 2024.

In their upload, a brief profile of Tebet Eco Park is listed as “A futuristic urban green space based on harmony between nature and humans”.

The Seoul Design Award is an international award that promotes daily life closely related to sustainability, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations (UN).

The Seoul Design Award’s main award was given to “projects that effectively address social and environmental challenges, emphasizing sustainability with renewable resources and energy efficiency.”

The DesignSingapore Council previously honoured this open space in Jakarta. Tebet Eco Park won Design of the Year for the President’s Design Award 2023.

Siura Studio founder Anton Siura, who designed the park, explained that the park was designed with three main concepts: ecological functions, social space, education, and recreation. The park, which was built during the era of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, was opened in April 2022.

Tebet Eco Park is not just an ordinary green open space. It is a place for people who want to take an excursion and stop their routine for a moment.

This park has eight spots that the community can visit.

Formerly called Taman Honda, the park has now been revitalized as Tebet Eco Park. The two parks of the former Honda Park, which were divided by the highway, have now become one unit with an aesthetic bridge.

This bridge is called the Infinity Link Bridge. As the name suggests, visitors can circle the bridge area continuously ‘without end’, making it resemble the infinity symbol.

There is also a fairly large and comfortable playground that children can access. Some of the playground games available include a mini trampoline, several slides, some agility games, and a seesaw, making this park kid-friendly.

Tebet Eco Park Facilities

Tebet Eco Park facilities are quite complete, ranging from seating, toilets, prayer rooms, parking areas, fitness equipment, and food and beverage tenants.

In addition, there are also several rules that visitors must obey to keep the park area clean and comfortable. These regulations include not littering, not damaging the park and bringing pets.

To be able to enter this place, visitors are not charged a penny or free.
