Updated List of Countries for Indonesia Visa on Arrival

17th September 2022 – To contribute to accelerating economic growth, the Directorate General of Immigration released Circular Letter Number IMI-0700.GR.01.01 of 2022 on 14th September 2022. This new circular letter revokes or replaces the earlier circular, which was published on the same topic on 26th July 2022. The updated list of Indonesia Visa on Arrival countries is based on President Joko Widodo’s instructions making it easier for tourists and investors to support Sustainable Tourism during the 2019 Corona Virus Disease Pandemic.

In response to the president’s directive a few days ago, the Directorate General of Immigration increased the number of countries for Visa on Arrival which is effective as of today through a circular issued on Wednesday (14/9/2022). There are 11 countries added by the Directorate General of Immigration to the list of updated countries for Indonesia Visa on Arrival, including:

  1. Albania
  2. Andorra
  3. Chile
  4. Ecuador
  5. Iceland
  6. Liechtenstein
  7. Palestine
  8. San Marino
  9. Suriname
  10. Uzbekistan
  11. Vatican

 

The number of nations formerly subject to Visa on Arrival under Indonesian government regulation has risen to 86 nations. Here is a complete list of countries that can use Visa on Arrival in Indonesia:

This most recent regulation also governs the activities that may be performed when using a Free Tourist Visit Visa (BVKW) or a Tourist Visit Visa on Arrival (VKSK), including visits by tourists, government officials, business representatives, people buying goods, people attending meetings, and transits.

Applications for Indonesia Visa on Arrival are submitted at the counter in the arrivals area at the airport, harbour or Cross-border Post Immigration Checkpoint. The requirements that must be attached are a passport that is valid for a minimum of six months, flight tickets leaving the territory of Indonesia, proof of payment of VoA and a certificate of Covid-19 vaccination.

The visa on arrival fee is IDR 500,000 which can be paid in US dollars and rupiah. For foreigners who have other currencies could do the currency change at the destination.
