Video Goes Viral: Foreign Tourist Falls into Bali Rice Field, Rescued by Locals

A foreign tourist went viral on social media after falling into a local Bali rice field while riding a motorcycle. In fact, due to the incident, almost all parts of her body were covered in mud.

The moment was captured on video and uploaded to the Instagram account @novibudianto. The clip was then re-uploaded by the @balidaily account until it went viral.

In the video, a foreign tourist wearing only a bikini top was covered in mud, along with her motorcycle.

However, the foreign tourist looks relaxed and laughs. Many people on the internet also focused on the two local men who immediately swiftly helped the tourist. Many also appreciated the actions of the two local residents in Bali, who were considered very swift and helpful.

The video shows two men from the same motorcycle helping the tourist who fell into the rice field to stand up. They also helped lift the bike that the foreign tourist was riding. This viral video was then flooded with comments from netizens. Many were also concerned about the unfortunate fate experienced by the foreign tourists.

“Local people are very kind and always helpful,” said another netizen.

“The real definition of nyungsep,” said the other.

Foreign tourists falling into rice fields is quite common. Tourists in Bali often ride motorbikes through rat roads, especially in the Canggu area, to avoid traffic jams. Instead of surviving, they often plunge into rice fields.

Many roads in Bali are narrow enough for motorcycles to pass. If motorcycles from two directions pass each other, one of them has to stop first.

In addition, these roads are usually directly adjacent to the Bali rice fields, so foreign tourists who are not fluent in driving motorbikes can fall directly into the Bali rice field.
