In Indonesia, there are also some unusual coffee recipes. Here’s the list.

A few years ago, the trend of coffee mixed with charcoal known as Kopi Joss, started to go viral in Yogyakarta. At first, many doubted this delicious coffee creation.

However, this drink is believed to cure several diseases, including colds and coughs. Its unique appearance also made it instantly famous in a short time. If you’re in Yogyakarta, the best place to enjoy this drink is north of Tugu Station.

  1. Avocado Coffee

The combination of avocado and coffee is a perfect match. Both have similar nutty flavors. The creamy sensation found in avocado is ideal when it meets coffee. The creamy but refreshing taste makes it so unique.

It’s not hard to see one of these delicious coffee creations in Jakarta.

  1. Talua Coffee, Padang

This coffee is unique in terms of serving ingredients, as an egg yolk is added to it.

Kopi Talua (which means egg) uses egg yolk as the main component of the blend. The yolk, separated from the white, is put in a glass filled with sweetened condensed milk, and a teaspoon of cinnamon powder is added.

  1. Kupi Khop Aceh

This coffee has a striking and unique way of serving it. The coffee cup is placed upside down on a placemat, creating a unique presentation.

Kupi khop is served in a glass, covered with a small plate until tight, then turned over quickly. This process, which is related to the amount of air pressure, allows the coffee filling not to spill.

To enjoy it, kupi shop lovers can blow the coffee into the glass with a straw or pipette. Later, the water will slowly come out from the sides of the glass.

  1. Durian Coffee

Durian coffee is a simple coffee drink that is given the addition of one durian fruit seed.

The coffee used to serve durian coffee is generally Lampung robusta coffee. This is not surprising, as Lampung has a stellar reputation as a coffee producer, especially of the robusta type.

This coffee can also be found in other parts of Sumatra, such as Bengkulu and Medan, in addition to Lampung.
