The Closure of Three Tourist Areas in Nusa Penida

The Closure of Three Tourist Areas – The local government forbids visitors from visiting the three beach sites in Nusa Penida in order to prevent mishaps for tourists vacationing in the Nusa Penida Tourism region, Kelungkung Regency, Bali.

The Regent of Kelungkung I Nyoman Suwirta declared this in a circular letter that was published on Monday, 23rd January 2023. The circular from the Regent prevented visitors from swimming at the frequently crowded with foreign visitors Anggep Bilabong Tourist Attraction.

Apart from tourist attractions, which visitors are not allowed to access, Kelingking Beach and Diamond Beach Beach are also off-limits to tourists. Numerous tourist mishaps on the beach have been reported thus far, likely as a result of the area’s strong currents.

As a matter of fact, Basarnas has been searching for the two international visitors who had been swimming at Diamond Beach for seven days, and they have still not been located.

Ni Made Sulistiawati, the director of the tourism office for the Kelungkung Regency, responded by saying that she had put up banners at the three locations forbidding tourists from swimming in accordance with the circular issued by the Regent.

Sulis stated, “We have placed banners in areas that we believe to be risky for travellers to Nusa Penida, particularly at three beaches: Kelingking Beach, Diamond Beach, and Bilabong.

Sulis stated that the signs on the three beaches that forbid this are only for swimming activation; those who merely wish to visit to take in the beauty of the beach are still welcome.

The Kelungkung government has temporarily prohibited visitors from swimming at three beaches in the Nusa Penida region due to a number of mishaps that involved tourists. – The Closure of Three Tourist Areas
